Hackathons are a hybrid/virtual 48-hour competition that bring together youth from across South Africa, Africa, and globally in the study fields of software development, business, marketing and gaming.
Youth collaborate intensively in teams to create a tech solution such as a web or mobile application, and a business plan, that will address 1 or more of the 10 socio-economic challenges affecting the public.
Winners of the EPF hackathon stand chances of winning cash prizes and enrolment into an entrepreneurship programme,the EPF Incubation Hub, where we guide the youth to develop their solutions into a successful startup that the greater public will benefit from.
